Mean or Dumb?

Maureen Dowd, a writer for the NY Times had this to say:


"Republican Mean Girls, grown-up versions of those teenage tormentors who would steal your boyfriend, spray-paint your locker and, just for good measure, spread rumors that you were pregnant." (NYTimes.com)


And she wasn't referring to Lindsay Lohan or Rachel McAdams from the 2004 movie "Mean Girls".  She was talking about "Jan, Meg, Carly, Sharron, Linda, Michele, Queen Bee Sarah and sweet wannabe Christine."  The GOP Mean Girls.


Now, the Queen Bee just shrugged it off:  "[S]he probably hasn't met Jan Brewer or some of these other wonderful, pleasant, gracious, nice, hard-working mama grizzlies who are wanting to turn this country around." (CNN.com)


And just where exactly are they going to turn it?  Because if these are the women that the Queen Bee sees as the future of American, we are in trouble.  Take for example the sweet wannabe Christine O'Donnell.  She thinks that Creationism should be taught in public schools. Her opponent says the First Amendment calls for a separation of church and state and it should not be taught in public schools.


O'Donnell's response?  "You're telling me that the separation of church and state is found in the First Amendment?" (CNN.com)

Ahh, the future of America with Mama Grizzlies in charge.  You betcha!
